PropertyWorld was launched in 1996, making it one of the oldest overseas property portals. The site takes private and agency advertising on a pay-monthly basis with featured property boxes available for extra exposure.



Launched in 2006 by Outbound Media & Events, World of Property is a relative newcomer to the market. As its name suggests, the site features properties for sale from all over the world.

Launched in March 2007, venture capital-backed Properazzi positions itself as the world’s largest property search engine. They currently list more than 3 million properties aggregating listings from thousands of agents across the globe. Their proprietary technology automatically scrapes your website for property listings and they offer XML feeds for agents wanting greater control.



Rightmove was launched in 2000 by three of the UK’s leading estate agencies and soon established itself as the UK’s most popular property portal. Rightmove became a PLC in March 2006, floating on the London Stock Exchange.



FindaProperty.com launched in 1997 and was bought out in 2004 by Associated Newspapers, which owns UK national newspaper titles the Daily Mail and The Mail On Sunday as well as the Evening Standard and Metro in London.
