Travel firms move into estate agency
OPP report today on an increasing trend for tour operators to act as introducers for property developers. Partnerships with travel agents such as Travelcare and Worldchoice are allowing a number of developers to access a huge client base of potential purchasers.
Typical deals allow the travel agent to provide “holidaymakers” with cut-price inspection trips in return for a commission on any successful sale.
Motivation is key
The biggest obstacle to success is poor motivation by tour operator and travel agency staff which has generally meant partnerships with smaller operators have been more successful. The key is having a large enough commission to share with tour operator staff says Bryan Lunt, Chairman of Absolute Resorts, who have signed agreements with a number of UK and Scandinavian travel agents.

Could you please explain how this work?
As a developer in Egypt, what should i expect from tour operators to deliver me? Are they design specific inspection trips for my developments in Egypt? or what? HOW DOES IT WORK?
