Hi Joseph,
The article only looks at gross rental yields and so is very narrow it's focus. In this market, professional investors are not looking for growth. Solid dependable rental income and high yields are the key to selling to this market segment. The data is taken from Global Property Guide. It's not perfect and but it is one of the most respected sources on the web. You should ask them about their methodology for Malta. I'd be interested in the answer.

Ashley Rigg,

Reference is made to the 'Top best investment destinations', i operate in Malta and seeing Malta in the 72nd place obviously got me be by surprise, as in all honesty i do not think that your calculations are correct in whole. As we have various investments with a yield of 4 / 5 % rather then the 2.87% in your results.
Would you kindly let me know how you come about these figures and what was taken in to consideration besides the price / cost of investment, as there are so many more factors why one should invest in a country like Malta, which should be taken in to consideration..
Looking forward to your reply,
Kind Regards,
Joseph Sullivan
