Spanish portal slashes prices by 83%
Spanish property portal, Property Net Spain has cut its prices by 83% in a bid to recruit new customers. The move coincides with the sites re-launch with sees the integration of Google maps into their property search system.
Property Net Spain will now charge agents €10 a month to list up to 100 properties, down from €60 before the re-launch. Commenting on the changes, Founder Rupert Windle says “we have looked at the market and we are not big enough to charge the rates that some of the bigger players do. However, we get a good volume of traffic and we rank in the top three for terms like Property in Spain. At this price we believe can provide real value for money”.
The Spanish overseas property portal market is dominated by Kyero.com and ThinkSpain.com. There are a number of smaller portals battling for third spot including Property Net Spain, InSpain.tv and PropertySaleSpain. Fotocasa.es and Idealista.com are the two dominant players in the Spanish domestic portal market, followed by smaller operators such as Portae.com, Tucasa.com, Globaliza.com, Facilisimo.com and Sacacasa.com.
The
overseas property portal market is becoming incresingly tough and commoditised. The economic downturn and a tough competitive environment are forcing overseas portals to cut prices or charge on a performance basis to recruit advertisers.

We are also the cheapest portal...being free to list up to 100 properties and only charging for unlimited properties by feed.
