Spanish agent merges to expand internationally
Spanish agent Casacalida Properties has merged with internet estate agency International Hot Property to form the Casacalida Group.

International Hot Property is moving its head office from Spain to the UK and managing director Nick Stuart continues in his role. Casacalida owner Steve Long becomes CEO for the group.

The new company will trade under the InternationalHotProperty.com brand and through its sister site, SpanishHotProperties.com. The sites’ focus will be on SIPP-compliant property investments and e bank stock in various countries, but there are also plans to include resale property as well as off-plan and new developments.

Auction plans

The company recently moved into the online property auction market by launching CasaAuctions.com, which claims to offer Spanish property at an average of 8-10% below the auction guide price by cutting out the auction houses. There are plans for an international auction site early next year, Monopoly Auctions, which will be sell property in UK, US, Cyprus and Turkey.
