Propertyfinder brand will no longer be marketed
The Propertyfinder name, the oldest of all UK property portals, will no longer receive any marketing effort or budget following the portal’s take-over by Zoopla.
The management team were tussling between the idea of using Propertyfinder as the main brand but have decided that the Zoopla name will be the focus of their marketing efforts.
All Zoopla’s portals (Zoopla, Thinkproperty, Hot Property and Propertyfinder) will be promoted to the trade under the Zoopla brand and all agents and developers will use a Zoopla interface to manage their property listings. However, consumers are unlikely to notice the difference as the sites will continue to exist independently.
UK agent members will now be able to choose to pay either a fixed monthly subscription or on pay-per-lead basis. Zoopla Chief Executive, Alex Chesterman says: “It is our intention to be the most efficient marketing partner for UK estate agents and provide them with the widest possible exposure and best value online marketing services.”
Global edge understands that the management team is currently considering its options with regards to its overseas business which has not been an immediate priority since the takeover.
