*Property developer in TV punch up
However, I interrupt your lunchtime sandwich to bring you footage of one of most successful property developers in Russia, Sergei Polonsky, being punched in the face on national television by Alexander Lebedev, the owner of two British newspapers, the London’s Evening Standard and the Independent.
Here is a transcript for those who need to brush up on their Russian.
Polonsky: I’ve heard this five times already today, everyone is a boss here, the pilots [pointing to Lebedev], the hen houses [pointing to the another man], I’m honestly tired now, frankly I want to smack you in the chops…
Lebedev: Well, go ahead, give it a try
Polonsky: You want to experiment?
Lebedev [standing up]: Are you totally nuts, mate? (sits down again to put him off his guard]
Polonsky: This man said three years ago that Federation Tower … [punch-punch]
After getting to his feet, Polonsky: “I’m in shock.”
