I completely agree with this article. Twitter is a royal waste of time unless you are a celebrity spreading controversy for your benefit or something of that sorts. Whta you can do for real estate business is to use Tweet Lister to list your properties for SEO benefit. If you have multiple websites, open multiple accounts using your sales key words as your screen name in Twitter.

But the easiest way to have Twitter as some source of internet views is to connect your source of content, like your blogs or video sharing websites to Twitter automatically.
I am using several portals that allow me to submit my content to a dozen or more of social networking websites automatically. It's convenient and I don't have to bother to check on Twitter every day.

I simply use it to publicise anything of interest which includes our name and may get picked up by the search engines. I don't know if it really works but I work on the principle of 'nothing ventured nothing gained'!
