New mobile tool to help agents
If you are an estate agent out on a property visit, there will be times when you’re asked which end of a property gets the sun at certain times of day.
This new free application will let you use your mobile phone as a compass. You need to match the sun on the screen with its position in the sky. It works anywhere in the world by using GPS and the time of day to calculate co-ordinates. The major downside is it only works on sunny days.
Most phones now support the software but the way to check is to open a game on your phone and look for the Java splash image. To download the software visit
