There are far more compelling and worrying stories out there that have the people involved queuing up to tell their stories and not hide behind (anon). The horror stories currently coming out of Hurghada are shocking and not one person in authority be it UK or Egypt have lifted a finger to help, the British Consular from Cairo in fact has said "we can't intervene and to get a solicitor" . There has been millions swindled from UK investors, millions gone missing the police aren't interested, MP's aren't interested and now the builders are breaking into apartments paid for in full and furnished by UK investors, changing locks and reselling as fully furnished. WHY IS NO-ONE HELPING THESE POOR INVESTORS, THERE IS A FORUM SET UP FOR THEM TO TALK TO EACH OTHER, CAIRO BASED SOLICITORS INSTRUCTED AND THEY ARE GETTING NO HELP FROM ANYONE ELSE.

The use of unamed sources is unacceptable unless the facts can be stated. Having said that you only need to google anything complaint related about MRI and you are bombarded with complaints from all corners of the earth. The Mirror article was arguably poorly researched with little evidence, however, it can be stated for a fact that as a company they are carrying out questionable and unethical activity. Correct me if I am wrong, but were MRI not under investigation by one of the so-called "regulatory bodies"? Did you yourselves at Global edge not also publish an article some time ago now about MRI's questionable SEO tactics, only to remove later after being contacted by Carter-Ruck? There is no question that the British media have a lot to answer to when it comes to sensationalism and its effects on the markets, but the stance you as journalists and commentators really has to be questioned here.

It is terrible to see that selected national publications find it acceptable to write poorly researched and damaging articles about Overseas property companies. These publications have a great responsibility to the public, to provide well written, unbiased and informative statements, rather than gossip and half-truths. If you are going to tell a story, make sure it is the whole story. Graeme Johnston Company Director - Successful Investor Ltd.
