Luxury developer sparks lie detector investigation
It’s Friday and you may not have made many sales this week but let’s put it in perspective.  At least you’re not making your staff take lie detector tests.

Investment Bank, Investec is “asking” its staff take the tests at its South African head quarters after a member of staff leaked details to the press of its R1.5bn debt to Zunaid Moti, the owner of Abalengani, a luxury property developer. 

Staff can't be compelled to take the lie detector test, however those who refuse will be "red-flagged” and whoever is identified will be fired and can expect a lawsuit to follow for breach of confidentiality clauses in their employment contracts.

Moti recently sacked South African Rugby star Joost van der Westhuizen who fronted the marketing for one of his developments after he was accused of featuring is a sex video with an erotic dancer.
