Property Showrooms launches search widget
International portal Property Showrooms has launched a new tool that allows agents and developers to generate and publish bespoke property search statistics. Although many portals publish search and lead figures, Property Showrooms is the first portal to give agents the power to cut and splice data according to their individual needs.

Bespoke website content

One of the most difficult things for agents is finding useful and relevant web content that is engaging for users and helps build trust and generate enquiries. Publishing popularity graphs and tables of property searches in relevant towns and regions is a useful addition to any website. Done well, it could help with both search engine optimisation and conversion rates. You can experiment generating tables and reports here.

A regional PR tool

Although there are benefits for agents and developers, the tool is primarily aimed at the media. “The primary objective of launching it is to build credibility with journalists and the press,” explains Senior Web Developer, Oisin Mac Giolla Chuda. With an average of around 400,000 searches a month, it is well below the Rightmove.co.uk sample size of 1.8 million monthly searches, but is still significant nonetheless.

The competitive advantage lies in the added functionality which allows them to supply the regional press with information more quickly than their competitors. It’s a great PR and SEO tool which will aid their search engine rankings and lead generation efforts over the medium term. It’s a good idea. Expect other portals to follow suit.

Below, you can see the tool in action - the stats being delivered are for the top worldwide searches in the last 24 hour period and update on every page load.
