Channel 4 portal revealed at APITS Live
The long-awaited trade launch of APlaceInTheSun.com took place behind closed doors at ExCeL in London last Friday. The invitation-only event was used by the Brooklands sales team to gather feedback and to encourage exhibitors and other trade contacts to take part in a free trial.
The site takes a leaf out of the new
Rightmove.co.uk book by dedicating lots of space to images and pictures. The depth and breadth of editorial content is also impressive, as you would expect from a brand with a strong editorial heritage and a large team of dedicated online journalists. Unfortunately, we’re unable to reveal any other details now as we’ve been sworn to secrecy until the official launch in a few weeks’ time.
Show numbers were slightly down on this time last year but, says Publishing Director Andy Bridge, “it was a smaller show, so pro rata we’re about the same, which is not a bad performance in the current market”.
