Bulgaria: 772 hotels for sale
Sofia news agency, Novinite.com reports that 772 hotels are currently listed for sale in Bulgaria with the cheapest on sale for €120,000. The global economic downturn has severely impacted the Bulgarian tourist industry with many hotels now operating at a loss. Lax planning laws which have led to over-supply of holiday homes in some areas have also arguably contributed towards the problem.
