Boom in property portal numbers
PropertyPortalWatch are reporting that traffic figures on a number of portals around the world are breaking new records.
Australia’s Realestate.com.au has reportedly broken the 5 million monthly unique user mark while Zoopla in the UK has surpassed 1 million users for the first time in its history. To add to the mix Digital Property Group which owns Primelocation.com and FindaProperty.com in the UK is reporting 4.6 million monthly unique.
The increases to some extent reflect a more buoyant property market but may also be the result of
market consolidation and to a lesser extent a change in
Google’s algorithms to benefit larger brands.
