Am not really bothered whether am included or not the next time around, but I know that the agency with which I am associated ranks above all the above portals in almost all relevant search terms in its area.
I agree with the other commentator also, what is important is leads and almost none of these portals is capable of providing even the most basic lead.

We will add your site to next analysis Chris but it goes across 500+ locatons, the majority of which are not Spain.
At a local level I'm sure you rank about most of the non-Spanish portals for many terms

The biggest dirver of lead generation online in the overseas property market is visibility on Goolge. It is also the most difficult thing to copy. Other factors are covered in the individual portal profiles (usability, content etc).
It is impossible to have an independent study of who generates the most leads. Portals have an incentive to exagerate and agents have an incentive to not disclose the best performers.
The list provides a starting point and is independent. We have never advised it be used on its own to pick portals to use. We are always very clerar about this in the "about this data" and "how to sue this data" sections.

And what about the agents who rank far more highly than a lot of the above?

Completely the wrong criteria is being used to decide who are the top 50 portals. How many hit they get on their dsites is completely irrelevent.
What is relevant is the number of leads they provide. Only by producing statistics about leads, can any usefull table be prepared.
Attracting traffic to a site is a matter of pure technology. Producing leads is a question of skill and the criteria as to quality of a portals website.
We use three of your so called top 50. Two of them are a waste of time - even putting properties on their website is inordinately time consuming - and the leads they produce is pathetic. The third is brilliant and produces far more leads than the other two put together.
How about creating a table based one information which is useful to agents, rather than one which can be used as a marketing tool by the portals.
