Ukraine - Top 10 research resources
This week, in our continuing search for the best online research resources for emerging property markets around the world, the spotlight falls on Ukraine. Recent years have seen some remarkable price growth there, the consequence of a chasm between available housing stock and demand from both Ukrainians themselves and from overseas buyers.

Overseas demand is focused on major cities like Kiev and Lviv, as well as the country’s ski resorts and spa and beach destinations along the Black Sea coast, for example Odessa and the Crimean peninsula. A figure of 18 million tourists last year is likely to increase as Ukraine’s international profile grows ahead of its stint as joint host of Euro 2012. Investment ahead of the tournament has been estimated at $25 billion (£12.5 billion), with transport and tourism set to benefit significantly.

There are no major restrictions on foreigners owning property in the country and there are no visa requirements for visitors from many countries including the US, Russia and the EU. Relatively low transaction costs will also appeal to potential investors, so there are opportunities for agents offering quality property.

Having considered hundreds of websites relating to property in Ukraine, we present our selection of what we consider to be the ten best in English. If you think we might have missed any useful sites from our list, please feel free to post your comments at the bottom of the page:
