AIPP to lose chief executive

AIPP to lose chief executive
Paul Owen, chief executive of The Association of International Property Professionals (AIPP) is to leave the organization after more than four years in charge.

Owen is to leave to trade body which he helped to create in 2006 to take up a senior position at a commercial organization unrelated to overseas property.

He leaves the organization in good health, having built the membership to more than 300 property companies and having put the organization on the map in terms of awareness with UK buyers.

“One of the greatest achievements of the AIPP has been to get regulation talked about.  For good or bad it is now on the radar.  Significantly 48% of people attending A Place in the Sun last year were aware of the AIPP and 88% felt reassured by membership.  That is one of the achievements I’m most proud of”, Owen told Global edge

The AIPP are currently searching for a new chief executive from both within and outside the industry.
